FAQ

Q: Why choose ‘by Wendy’ stationery?
We all know how much time, effort and expense go into making a celebration of that special occasion a success but along with the excitement of the planning comes the stress of trying to make the day perfect. At ‘by Wendy’ we hope to be able to take away some of the stress. With the help of our designer we will work with you to produce stationery which compliments your day perfectly. Taking inspiration from our comprehensive range of products we can then discuss your own ideas and requirements to make your dream stationery a reality.
All of our products are entirely hand made using high quality materials to give them a unique style which can’t be found in the mass produced products bought on the high street. Each item we make reflects on us hence we make each one with pride and care. So in a way, your big day is our big day too!

Q: How do you ensure my stationery is exactly what I want?
Our designer will either visit you in your home, or call you to discuss all the details of your big day. Together we will decide on basic style of your stationery, colour schemes and
embellishments. The designer will then produce a sample for you to examine. At this time any changes you would like can be made.

Q: How long will it take to make my stationery?
This depends on several things including the number of items you order, their complexity (because everything is hand made it can take up to 1 hour to make some single items!), and how busy we are. Small orders can often be with you in less two weeks but we will give you a completion date when we confirm your order.

Q: How much will it cost?
That depends on your choice of style and design and the size of your order. Our products fall into four price bands (see the price guide) We can usually give you a rough estimate of cost at the consultation meeting. however these are only a guide as we can’t accurately cost your order until we have your final design. Once this design is agreed we will send you a final quote. We offer discounts from 5—10% for orders of 50 items or more.

Q: When & how do I pay?
payment is via paypal or cheque.

Q: How much is postage & packing?
This depends on the type of products you order, their size & weight. Usually, p&p is between £10 & £20.Deliveries are generally sent via Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery and will require a signature on delivery. We will e-mail or telephone you when your order is complete to arrange an appropriate delivery day.
Postage & packing is £1.50 for up to 3 invitation samples.

Q:When to order.
We advise you to order as early as possible as our lead times fluctuate depending upon demand. Express orders may be available but they are liable to a surcharge, at our discretion, and is dependant on the size of your order and our current workload.

We highly recommend that you order all your wedding stationery at once, with an estimate of the number of orders of service, menus etc so that we can book your production slot and ensure continuity of your design (exact numbers, guest names, menu details and order of service contents, can be confirmed at a later date).

Q: How Many Invitations?
It is wise to order a few spares for extra guests and any errors when you write out your wedding invitations. It is customary to include one invitation per family including a courtesy one for the groom's parents and the minister and their partner. Also include family and friends who you may already know cannot come, but who would appreciate receiving an invitation, for example a grandparent.

Q:What If you need more later?
Once we have agreed your design, we can provide you further stationery at a later date if necessary.
